A restful sleep impacts your ability to recover properly from your training. A good night sleep helps you to make better nutritional choices which can assist in losing body fat. Before the COVID-19 lockdown, most people were sceptical about online coaching. Many people didn't fully understand what it was or how it could benefit them. The day we've all been waiting for is finally here! Gyms are opening in England! Many people are thinking about making their return to exercise after the lockdown. Exercising outdoors is one of my personal favourite ways to train. It brings together three things that are essential to a good mood: Movement, exercise, and plenty of fresh air. I find everything about it stimulating, but some of my favourite methods could be broadly described as “modified Strongman”. In an ideal world, we would all be cooking from scratch with fresh ingredients every day. In the real world, we're busy and short on time. As lovely as it would be to have a live-in chef preparing all our meals, that is an unrealistic aspiration for most of us. Many people think that they can't make progress exercising at home and that without the gym, their training is pointless. But building solid foundations with bodyweight movements are essential. They should be done whether you have access to a gym or not! The importance of how you manage your time in lockdown to feel your best cannot be understated. There's enough stress on you at the moment. So we're looking at ways that can help you stay physically and mentally healthy during the lockdown. Strength training has a whole host of benefits to your physical and mental health. Here we look at some of the reasons you might consider adding strength training into your programme and give some pointers on how someone might begin strength training safely. For most of my clients, they understand the importance of exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. They don't need to be convinced of the benefits of eating well and taking physical care of themselves. |
